I m a Proud Indian
After 60 yrs, yesterday India recieved historical ayodhya verdict. I realize the complexity of Indian Society. If you travel 2 kms, you will land up with different society, tradition, language, fooding style, region, caste, but today i realized we are ONE. We have more than 14 political parties, (first time in my life) speaking in one voice. All cultures, caste, region speaking for Peace. Not only that, the maturity of the people have been demonstrated after the verdict. Not even single incident of volience. What so ever may be the verdict, the people recieved it with respect. " Unity in deversity ", what i read during my 5 th standard, but today i have seen it. I m proud to be an Indian. Its a feeling that will live for ever. If some one what to know the meaning of Brotherhood, simplicity with complexity....They have to live in India.

I found the "build up" before the verdict, to be disquieting. Major news outlets broadcast reports bracing for the worst, and THANKFULLY, the worst did not come. As an outsider, looking in, I was very positively impressed with the calm heads that prevailed. As a remarkably culturally diverse nation, this is quite impressive. You have much of which to be proud!
It is unfortunate that such good news does not get more press coverage. "Plane lands without crashing", "Disaster avoided", "Millions go to work safely and come home safely" never makes the headlines.
