Thank you 2012 .... All the best wishes 2013 ...

Finally ..I took some time to look back the incredible journey of self , my family, my friends, my society, my team. One thing very visible is that CHANGE, to be be accurate its URGE FOR CHANGE.

As always undergoing any change is not a easy task. It's amazing to see, as people group for change, equally a resistance group build up.

I took new challenging role at office, which had created direct impact to the way we work with our customers. I am happy and charged up for greater challenges. It's the great team which motivates me every day.

2012 has been a year of travel and fun, finishing it with Vietnam. to put it in simple terms "i learnt to listen better "

When I look around my India, truly happy to be part of this transition that is taking place here. We have witnessed lot of uprise by people. People's movement for better governance, stricter laws, voice for development as main core agenda. There is pressure on our politicians to do a better job. Never before, We have witnessed the middle case coming out and demanding the change, but we have seen it this year. India Inc was asking for speed in which policies are made. Government is learning its lessons in hard way. It is very unfortunate , sad to see that we lost 23 year old brave girl, but we have many similar cases across the country. All we are requesting to government to do its job, police to do what they are supposed to do, judiciary to act with sense of urgency and people to act with larger responsibility. This year people learnt what their responsibility is in world's largest democracy. Year has teaches everyone to be responsible.

I hear that We have protest organised in freedom park for women safety, new year party in fortune hotel, watching round table with Bollywood actors, breaking news below reading another molestation in Delhi, people planning to stay at home with family, talking about new kamal movie, opposition charging the congress, government defending itself, forgot about movement against corruption, talking about india losing its odi with pak yesterday, media still in confusion what they want to message, sensible message from president. This is our society and this is India .. Land of unity in diversity...

Though 2012 didn't end well, It gives lot of hope for change in 2013. I enter 2013 with prayers, hope, peace. Let 2013 be year of change, year of action, year of humanity.

Thank you 2012 for teaching us very important lessons. 2013, we are coming !!

7 days in Vietnam ...

It is more than a year since I blogged last time.... It is good to be back here...

Anantha and myself reached Vietnam on 8Dec morning. Since then we were searching for any difference between India and Vietnam. It was surprising to see the similarities that these two countries have. Their culture...nuclear family system is very similar to that of India, while food habits have their roots from Japan and china, I am not sure. People respect each other, on the outlook they are very hard working smart people. Vietnam is in its transition from their transitional Culture and western culture.... It is taking the same route that India taken few decays before.

It is interested discussion we had over dinner table with some of our Vietnam colleague. Looks like corruption is their problem too. It is funny that we cooked our own food, poor veggie guys !
But the last day we had Vietnam traditional food, it was very good ..not like what we have imagined, better than what we have cooked. It's fun right ?

Similarities ....corruption, traffic, roadside shops, family value...
Differences... Food , food , food... One party rule here...

Friday we went to Halong bay , it is named as one of the natural wonder of the world. It was a refreshing trip. W spend around 2 hours in sea....it was good place to visit....

Leaving Vietnam today, thanks Vietnam for being a nice host and looking forward visiting you again.

For me this was a much needed break...and 2012 was a year with hectic domestic travel and meeting with customer...but ending with a international break :)
